The best way to describe how Chadwick Fine Foods has grown into the quality butchers it is today is to start from the very beginning...
It all started whilst I was still in school, I worked part time at the local butchers, which made my interest to move to butchery and retail.
Upon leaving school in 1972, I joined the local Nuneaton Co-op, where I learnt my skills, from cutting carcass meat & retailing, to cooking hams and porks to making sausages e.t.c.
It was during this time that the Co-op offered me a two year course at Birmingham Collage Of Food & Domestic Arts.
With this I then became branch manager for Arbury Road Co-op, moving my way up to becoming branch manager for the largest butchery shop in town.
I then moved into the private sector of retail, to learn more on running and maintaining a business, my first venture took me to Fazely in Tamworth, which I turned the little local shop, into a thriving village store incorporating a fine butchery dept.
I then moved to Arbury Road my present shop in 1989, I first introduced Scotch Premier Beef (with its 14 day maturity certificated) label, which makes us one of the few butchers that are certificated in the area, I have never looked back since, every day we are growing.
I pride myself with quality offer a good old fashioned service with a modern outlook, my dedication to the business and our customers is unrivalled.
